About Us

Building Tech Consultants provides information to help resolve construction defect and property damage claims. Primary activities include documentation of conditions, technical analysis of problems and damages, remediation determination, report preparation, detailed scope of repairs, and remedial repair or replacement cost estimating. The firm also conducts preconstruction surveys, building code compliance evaluations, insurance appraisals, construction related accident investigations, home and commercial building inspections, project management, and litigation support services. We are also experienced with documenting existing road and property conditions prior to construction activity.

Our consultants offer their skills for residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional structures; road and undeveloped property surveys can also be conducted. Clients typically include insurance companies, attorneys, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, property owners, homeowners associations and government agencies.

Building Tech Consultants is a general contracting firm that can also assist with architectural and engineering issues utilizing professional associates. At the time of retention of services, we provide a Professional Service Agreement that outlines the Scope of Work to be conducted.

The investigation stage involves an approach geared to meet our clients' needs. It usually includes a review of pertinent documents, a site visit examination of the subject property, documentation of conditions observed, and any necessary technical testing that helps us make a determination as to what is responsible for the circumstances that concern our client. Photographs, videotaping, slides, charts, and other exhibits can also be produced as requested.

A report is then produced. Depending on the client’s request, it might include an oral or written explanation of conditions observed, a conceptual remedy, and an estimate of costs for remediation or replacement.
